Wayne Gustaveson has been running a great site about fishing at Lake Powell for years. It is filled with all kinds of useful information if you are planning a trip down there, and if you’ve never been to Lake Powell, you should put it on your “bucket list.” The fishing down there is phenomenal for pretty much most of the year, although it does get right chilly in the winter months. Summer fishing may be the slowest at times, but there is nothing wrong with relaxing and floating for hours either.
The best part to me about Wayne’s site is the fishing report: www.wayneswords.com/lpfish. Every week there is a new report about how the fish are feeding, what lures are working best, where the best fishing can be found, water temperature, lake elevation and more. It is an entertaining read week in and week out even if you have no imminent plans to go to the lake.
